I asked AI if it has been used to influence the U.S. Presidential Election and the answer was disturbing.

Question: Has artificial intelligence been used to influence the U.S. presidential election?

ChatGPT: There have been concerns and investigations regarding the use of artificial intelligence and other advanced technologies in attempts to influence elections, including the U.S. presidential election. Some of the concerns have centered around the spread of disinformation and fake news on social media platforms, as well as the use of automated bots to amplify certain political messages.

Here are a few key points related to this issue:
  1. Social Media Manipulation: AI algorithms have been employed to target and manipulate social media users with tailored content, including political messaging. This can be done to influence public opinion or to micro-target specific voter groups.
  2. Deepfakes and Manipulated Media: AI technologies, like deep learning, can be used to create convincing deepfake videos or audio recordings, which could be used to spread false information about political candidates
  3. Bot Networks: Automated bots, driven by AI, can be used to amplify or spread certain narratives on social media platforms. These bots can create an illusion of widespread support or opposition to particular candidates or issues.
  4. Predictive Analytics: AI and machine learning have been used to analyze large datasets of voter information to make predictions about voter behavior, which can inform campaign strategies.
  5. Cybersecurity Concerns: Elections can also be vulnerable to cyberattacks, which could potentially be carried out with the help of AI-driven tools and techniques.
It's important to note that efforts have been made to address these issues through regulation, increased transparency, and improved cybersecurity measures. Additionally, social media platforms and tech companies have taken steps to combat the misuse of their platforms for political manipulation.

The extent and impact of AI-driven influence on elections can vary widely, and it continues to be a subject of research and concern in many countries, not just the United States. Efforts to protect the integrity of elections and combat disinformation are ongoing.

Tulsi Gabbard - Presidential Candidate

Tulsi Gabbard is running for President and seeks the Democrats nomination. I feel she would be better received by the Libertarians but regardless, she appears to be the only sensible choice for Democrats in this election.

Starship Nearly Assembled

Elon Musk's Starship is nearly assembled and will be taking humans to the moon and mars soon.

Congratulations Elon. I am your biggest fan.

Humans will not survive as a species unless we develop an interplanetary presence. In fact, we will probably have to colonize several neighboring stars if we want to protect ourselves from being wiped out by a supernova explosion. It is vital that we stop fighting over fuel resources and get to the business of our common salvation.

Internalized Racism By White "Liberals" in America

Recently, through social media, I have noticed a new phenomenon. My mostly white, middle to upper class, "liberal" friends are posting racist, anti-white rhetoric in their social media feeds. It bears mentioning that these are mostly white people who live in a culture of privilege and gentrification.

Here are some examples:

Fascinated by this behavior by my peers, I decided to do a little research.

When a person feels prejudice towards their own race it is called "internalized racism". If we Google this term, all we find is references to it as it would apply to minorities. When I specifically search for "internalized racism by white people" I still only get articles referencing internalized racism in minorities:
The Wikipedia article in the link above implies that the term "internalized racism" only applies to minorities, as if whites are incapable of, or excluded from the privilege of using the term as it would apply to those of a paler skin-tone. It is difficult to find any references on the internet to internalized racism by white people, so I assume this is a fairly new behavior, which has developed during the Trump presidency, and is exclusive to white "liberals". I did find one scholarly article on internalized racism by Keshia Unika Williams, which seems to acknowledge that white people are capable of internalized racism, but said "The examination of the experience of internalized racism by white people is beyond the scope of this paper." https://scholarworks.smith.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=2379&context=theses

Nearly all humans are guilty of subconscious racism, born out of social and cultural programming and segregation. The failure of white "liberals" to recognize their own internalized racism is, by itself at least, a subconscious form of racism.

I write "liberal" with quotation marks because most of my friends who claim to be liberal have adopted some political stances which are in no way liberal in my estimation. An example of this would be the willingness to erode the Second Amendment to the Constitution, which protects the right of the individual to keep and bear arms. Today's "liberal" pretends to be alarmed by our rapid progression toward a police-state, while blindly supporting campaigns to increase government control over citizens and erode our civil liberties as enumerated in the Bill of Rights.

My "liberal" friends who self-righteously support democrat candidates over republicans appear ignorant to the fact that democrats have gone right along with republicans on some of the most critical issues which have impacted us all in very negative ways. The war on drugs comes to mind, along with a nearly endless list of other wars. Democrats have gone along with republicans in the destruction of our environment and waging war in the name of profit; they have participated in environmentally catastrophic global warfare and imperialist military expansion. Democrats have done nothing to prevent the ever expanding private-prison industry and the mass incarceration of people for victimless "crimes". Democrats went right along with the destabilization of peaceful countries and the installation of puppet dictators who wouldn't oppose  plans of robbing those countries of their resources. Democrats took part in the rip-off of Americans by the medical, insurance, and drug industries; the poisoning of the planet by mineral and oil companies; and the destruction of our forests for agriculture and livestock farming. If the above is liberal behavior, I would prefer to call myself a radical. It appears to me that today's "liberal" democrats differ from their republican counterparts in word only: their actions do not comport with the narrative they espouse. In many ways the two parties have flipped in their ideologies: it used to be the republicans who promoted hatred of Russia; now it is the Democrats who are trying to re-ignite the cold-war. My "liberal" friends constantly spew forth hatred and vitriol in their social media feeds without regard to the truth of the propaganda they are helping to spread.

And yes, from the abundance of self denigrating posts on social media it appears that "liberals" are capable of racism as well as hypocrisy. Join me in my support of any political candidate who refuses to affiliate themselves with the democrat or republican conventions.

DONALD TRUMP MEMES COLLECTION

There are perhaps hundreds of thousands of political memes devoted to Donald Trump. Most of them are anti-Trump memes, but there are also a lot of pro-Trump memes. I seriously doubt there is any way to see all of them but I thought it would be fun to make an attempt at compiling them. Don't forget to check back from time to time to see the latest additions to the collection.

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Says He Was Dancing at a Benefit for Syrian Refugee Children When Journalist Disappeared

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman says he was dancing at a benefit for Syrian refugee children when Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, disappeared, and released a photograph that he claims proves it. The Prince laughed when skeptics pointed out that the image looked doctored--"Haters are always going to hate." he said. When asked what he thought about the photo, President Trump looked pleased--"I knew it!" he said, "Nobody who spends billions and billions of dollars on weapons is going to go and kill someone. This guy is a really fine human being and you can see he really cares about the kids."

California State Rep. Brad Sherman Has Egg on his Face

Rep. Brad Sherman (D) CA
California State  Rep. Brad Sherman (D) has proposed a ban on cryptocurrencies at a House Financial Services Meeting on February 13, 2018:

"We should prohibit U.S. persons from buying or mining cryptocurrencies," he said. "Mining alone uses electricity which takes away from other needs and-or adds to the carbon footprint. As a store, as a medium of exchange, cryptocurrency accomplishes nothing except facilitating narcotics trafficking, terrorism, and tax evasion."

But, it appears that Mr. Sherman may have other than altruistic reasons for his opposition to the application of block-chain technology to decentralized types of currency: A quick search of Representative Sherman, shows that his biggest campaign contributors for 2017-2018 are Capital Group CompaniesRoyal Business Bank, and Allied Wallet: all of which are providers of  international banking, investment, and credit card services.

Although Democrats often point fingers at Republicans when it comes to favoring big money and corporate donors, it appears that they themselves are not above the practice. Is it possible Mr. Sherman is working on behalf of his donors who are threatened by the very existence of cryptocurrencies? Representative Sherman, you appear to have egg on your face.

THE COST OF WAR

"The Cost of War" a meme by David Settino Scott - 2015
I decided to celebrate this Memorial Day by creating a meme to express my feelings about the unacceptable cost of war. Mother Earth didn't come with any political borders and, in my opinion, there shouldn't be any. Humans need to learn that we are all in the same boat: a small and fragile boat upon the great sea of the cosmos. If we are going to survive as a race we must pull together all of our collective powers and resources to expand our reaches into the heavens. Waging war only serves to deplete our precious dwindling resources as well as our most precious commodity - human spirit. I don't think it should be necessary to point out the absurdity of killing each other in the name of our respective gods, but it appears there is still a lot of that going on. Let us discourage our young from becoming soldiers when what we really need are explorers.

CONTACT YOUR REPRESENTATIVE ABOUT THE FUKUSHIMA NUCLEAR DISASTER

FUKUSHIMA NUCLEAR DISASTER THREATENS ENTIRE HUMAN RACE

For the last several months I have been monitoring the World's news networks for stories about the nuclear meltdown (now referred to as a "melt through") at Fukushima's Daiichi Nuclear Reactor. Because, uncontrolled radiation leaking from the damaged nuclear reactor could potentially destroy all life on the planet, it is in my opinion the biggest news event in human history.

Scouring the web-pages of CNN, MSNBC, Reuters, and the Associated Press, I haven't found much about this global crisis. Instead of finding many stories covering the nuclear disaster, I have mostly been finding stories about the British "royal baby", whistle-blowers like Bradley Manning, Edward Snowden or Julian Assange, and the drug habits of celebrities such as Lindsay Lohan. In fact, it has been difficult to find any stories about what is going on at Fukushima's Daiichi Reactor site--it appears that the only news networks that consider the story newsworthy are the UK's BBC news network, Al Jazeera (now only available in the U.S. as Al Jazeera America), and the only network to keep the story in it headlines, Russia Today, which has actually put a link on their front page for FUKUSHIMA LEAK--LIVE UPDATES.

Willful Ignorance?
After posting dozens of articles on my Facebook page, it became obvious to me that people just don't want to talk about what is likely to be the biggest disaster in human history. In fact, even my "activist" friends, the ones who are always calling for action against Monsanto and GMO foods, etc., didn't seem to have anything to say...no "Likes" or "Shares" for my posts about the unfolding story of the poisoning of our planet's oceans. In fact, it looks to me like my attempts to  make people aware of the disaster only makes them angry. Like ostriches with their heads in the sand, they appear to be in willful ignorance to the danger that is rapidly creeping its way across the Pacific Ocean and evaporating into our atmosphere.

Closing our eyes to the situation in Fukushima won't make the problem go away. Pretending it isn't happening won't make us safe from the radiation which is now spreading across our oceans and into our atmosphere. No amount of chocolate-chip happy, positive thinking is going to stop the poisonous radioactivity that is threatening all life on Earth.

In the meantime, we (the United States) still have troops deployed all over the world, fighting useless battles for oil when they should be trying to prevent the oncoming nuclear winter. Let's concentrate all of our national energy on dealing with this situation before it is too late.

What can you do?
I strongly urge everyone of who reads this to contact your representatives in congress by phone or by mail and demand that our federal government ends all overseas operations immediately and starts addressing this global catastrophe.

I write you to request that you initiate action in congress to respond to the global disaster at Fukushima's leaking Daiichi nuclear power plant. The radiation leaking into the Pacific Ocean is a threat to all life on the planet. Our federal government is wasting billions of dollars fighting senseless wars overseas while we should instead be doing something to prevent the contamination of our global food supply. Thank you for your attention to this problem.
