SENATOR LISA MURKOWSKI IN FAVOR OF OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING

Alaskan Senator, Lisa Murkowski, a ranking member of the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, gave a long speech today at the National Press Club's, Ocean Law and Policy Conference in Washington, DC. Apparently, even In the wake of the Gulf Oil Spill, the Republican Senator is in favor of the development of arctic regions using big oil money, and specifically in favor of continued exploration and exploitation of the oil reserves in the arctic (what a surprise).She even brazenly used the retreat of the ice shelf in support of her argument, claiming it has opened up more potential reserves for the US to tap into, and a need to bolster national security defenses in that region.  I noticed that she cautiously tried to use the word "exploring" instead of  "drilling" when speaking about raping the Earth and selling her blood for a profit.
