One thing that gets to me about this whole oil- spill thing, is that people keep trying to put a price-tag on this global catastrophe, when there can be none. Each and every one of us is the victim of our own collective greed. In me opinion it is not just BP, but anyone who supported or supports offshore drilling of any kind.

DEATH OF OUR OCEANS MEANS OUR OWN DEATH

Something not mentioned in this article is that this oil-spill could easily cycle its way all the way around the globe, polluting every ocean on the planet. Our oceans provide most of the food we eat and ocean-life is interconnected with all other life, so this monumental screw-up by the "Powers That Be" may even lead to the extinction (or near extinction) of the human race.

Her position: She points her finger at President Obama and accuses him of having ties to big oil. "The Obama Administration hasn't done enough..." She says.



Ms. Palin, when you were running for vice-president you were known for your catch-phrase "Drill baby, drill!" Your republican supporters rallied around you and chanted your slogan. In fact, the issue of unrestricted drilling versus environmental protection has been drawn across the party lines, with your conservative republican comrades deeply entrenched with the big energy companies.



Republicans are driven by nothing but greed.

SENATOR LISA MURKOWSKI IN FAVOR OF OFFSHORE OIL DRILLING

Alaskan Senator, Lisa Murkowski, a ranking member of the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, gave a long speech today at the National Press Club's, Ocean Law and Policy Conference in Washington, DC. Apparently, even In the wake of the Gulf Oil Spill, the Republican Senator is in favor of the development of arctic regions using big oil money, and specifically in favor of continued exploration and exploitation of the oil reserves in the arctic (what a surprise).She even brazenly used the retreat of the ice shelf in support of her argument, claiming it has opened up more potential reserves for the US to tap into, and a need to bolster national security defenses in that region.  I noticed that she cautiously tried to use the word "exploring" instead of  "drilling" when speaking about raping the Earth and selling her blood for a profit. Presidential candidate, Sarah Palin, famous for her slogan "Drill Baby, Drill!" which later became a favorite among republican supporters, should be on the front lines of the response effort, yet she has been strangely silent while millions of barrels of oil, spill unrestrained into the Gulf Of Mexico.

While I don't want to give Democrats too much credit for standing up against the Republicans and their evil plot to destroy the planet while making millions selling the World's oil to its own populace, it has been a favorite issue among the extreme left. So........
